Yes! You can purchase a souvenir plate without providing your driver’s license or vehicle registration information.

Souvenir plate orders include one (1) plate.

No. Souvenir plates are for keepsake purposes only and cannot be used on a vehicle.

The display plates will be available for pick-up at the Turkey Tournament during Thanksgiving week. Souvenir plates will be available for pick-up after February 1.

Because license plates come directly from the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office, your registration must be valid through the end of the event. If your registration expires before 1/29/2026, you will need to provide an updated copy of your new registration to receive your special event license plate. These copies can be emailed to renewals@pretzelplates.com. Failure to provide an updated registration will result in a delay in you receiving your license plate. Please note that updated registrations must be received by November 16, so you may need to renew early to ensure compliance. If we do not receive an updated copy by this date, you will be responsible for picking up your license plate from the Howlett Building once you do provide your registration.

You can have someone else pick up your license plate for you. They will just need to sign for it at pick-up so we can keep track of who picked up each order.

If you live out of district, you can have your license plate mailed to you. This will cost an extra $15 on top of the cost of the plate.

Yes, you can order a plate! However, the Illinois Secretary of State’s office will not provide any license plates to us for out of state registrations until the end of the event on 1/29/2026. After this date has passed, then we can disburse the plates to fulfill any out of state orders. Please contact us at questions@pretzelplates.com to request an out of state plate.

At this time, we are accepting online orders only. Any New Berlin music student will be happy to assist you in filling out your form. Please email questions@pretzelplates.com and one of the music booster board members will reach out to you.

No. The State of Illinois does NOT receive any of the funds raised through this special event plate fundraiser. A portion of the proceeds goes to Macon Resources, Inc. (MRI), a nonprofit organization. MRI has been manufacturing license plates for the State of Illinois since 1983, providing meaningful employment and skill development for individuals with disabilities.
